DPEO Reasi Reviews Preparedness for Panchayat Electoral Roll Revision 2026, Flags Off IEC Van for Public Awareness

Reasi: District Panchayat Election Officer Reasi, Kumar Abhishek, chaired a meeting to review the preparations for the Revision of Panchayat Electoral Roll 2026 in the district.

During the meeting, Deputy District Election Officer Reasi, Nitin Verma, briefed the chair on the overall preparedness for the revision exercise and informed that necessary arrangements are being put in place at both district and block levels.

DPEO Reasi directed officials to follow guidelines strictly, hold weekend camps for claims & objections, and submit daily progress reports. Emphasis was laid on public awareness through campaigns and Gram Sabhas.

Later, an IEC van was flagged off to spread awareness across villages about voter list updates, including inclusion, deletion, correction, and transposition.

The District Administration has urged all eligible citizens and verify their details in the electoral rolls.
