Reasi: DC Reasi, Kumar Abhishek, chaired a meeting to review the progress of solarisation of Government buildings and installation of smart meters across the district. During the meeting, the DC took a detailed review of rooftop solar installations on Government offices and institutions. He directed the concerned departments to expedite the pace of work and ensure timely completion of all solarisation projects. He emphasized that all identified Government buildings should be covered under the initiative in a phased manner, while maintaining prescribed quality standards and strict adherence to technical specifications. The DC further emphasized that the initiative is intended to reduce dependence on conventional energy sources, promote the adoption of clean and renewable energy, and optimize electricity expenditure of Government establishments. Reviewing the status of smart meter installation, the DC instructed the executing agencies to ensure seamless installation and proper functioning of meters across the district. He also took note of various technical and logistical challenges being faced during implementation and directed the concerned officers to resolve bottlenecks promptly through effective inter-departmental coordination.
