DC Reasi Holds Block Diwas at Sungri
Chassana: DC Reasi, Kumar Abhishek yesterday conducted a Block Diwas at Sungri in Chassana, Sub-Division Mahore in the presence of MLA Gulabgarh Khurshied Ahmed.
People projected their demands and concerns related to basic amenities, including road connectivity, drinking water supply, electricity, healthcare, and other developmental issues.
During the Block Diwas, representatives from Bhagodas, Balmankot, Channa and Tulli Banna highlighted several issues, including shortage of staff in PHCs and schools, completion of roads under PWD and PMGSY, renewal of arms licences, upgradation of electric transformers, and the need for an ambulance facility.
Additional demands included the establishment of a Degree College at Chassana, construction of a protection wall for the sports stadium, and survey of BPL families in the area.
DC Reasi assured the public that their genuine issues would be addressed in a time-bound manner. He directed the concerned officers present on the occasion to take immediate action for on-the-spot redressal of various issues, while instructing that other matters be taken up on priority and resolved at the earliest.
The DDC also urged KKGs to come forward and apply for seed and fertilizer licences to strengthen agricultural activities in the region.
A pledge under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan was also administered during the Block Diwas, wherein all present officials and public reaffirmed their commitment to making society drug-free.
