Reasi Police Solves Theft Case; Six Accused Arrested, 13 Stolen Mobile Phones Recovered

 

Katra: Reasi Police have solved a theft case registered at Police Station Katra by arresting six accused persons and recovering stolen mobile phones and cash.

 

On June 6, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Katra regarding the theft of two mobile phones and cash near Charan Paduka, Katra. Acting on the complaint, police registered FIR No. 177/2026 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and initiated an investigation.

 

During the investigation, police traced and apprehended six accused persons on June 8.

 

The accused have been identified as Avneet Singh, son of Dilbagh Singh; Karan Singh, son of Jasvinder Singh; Jasvinder Singh, son of Darshan Singh; Pardeep Singh, son of Jasvinder Singh; Mangal Singh, son of Savinder Singh; and Amandeep Singh, son of Satnam Singh, all residents of Amritsar, Punjab.

 

During questioning, the accused allegedly disclosed information that led to the recovery of 13 mobile phones worth approximately Rs 3 lakh and cash amounting to Rs 3,160 from a hotel.

 

Police said the recovered property may be linked to multiple theft cases, and efforts are underway to identify the rightful owners. Further investigation is in progress.
